Can dogs eat macadamia nuts?
βToxic for dogs
No. Macadamia nuts can make dogs weak, wobbly and feverish, usually within 12 hours.
Why macadamia nuts are dangerous
Nobody knows exactly why, but macadamias cause weakness (especially in the back legs), tremors and high temperature in dogs. Most dogs recover in a day or two, but the risk is higher if the nuts were in chocolate cookies.
